Hope Centre with the support of one of its donors-- Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiatives (APPI)-- shall establish a spice manufacturing unit to create livelihood opportunities for its beneficiaries physically rehabilitated by the centre. The machines have already been purchased from outside the state, and the unit shall be commissioned soon. The unit shall initially manufacture two spices- the Turmeric and Chili powder. Raw material for manufacturing of spices shall be purchased from local farmers. The persons with disabilities will be engaged for packaging and selling the products. The profit thus earned will be shared with the beneficiaries.
