Since its establishment in 2001, Hope Centre has been delivering comprehensive rehabilitation services to people with disabilities across seven districts in two divisions of Jammu and Kashmir, with the steadfast support of donors. Among these districts, Ganderbal has been a focal point of extensive intervention, reflecting the Centre’s commitment to inclusive development and empowerment.
Over the past five years in Ganderbal alone:
The Centre has distributed approximately 1,125 assistive devices, enabling people with disabilities to regain mobility, independence, and dignity.
Specialised prosthetic and orthotic services have been extended to nearly 400 persons with disabilities, addressing critical needs and improving quality of life.
These interventions highlight Hope Centre’s holistic approach—combining medical rehabilitation, assistive technology, inclusive education, and long-term follow-up—to foster resilience and inclusion.
