Floods

In 2014 Kashmir experienced massive floods that stranded thousands of people inside their submerged houses and cost the economy more than 100 crores. Kashmir witnessed such a flood after 100 years. The valley was worst hit by Floods in 2014.Hope Centre organized camps in Srinagar and Anantnag Districts .The Organization rescued more than 4000 people, provided them first aid. As the valley was some less than two months away from harsh winters so the organization provided them tents ,Blankets ,tarpaulins ,Clothes ,Books, pencils and other stationary items for students and other basic edible items in the areas worst hit by floods. The volunteers would risk their lives to rescue people stuck in floods. Besides, relief was distributed among the affected. Damages to houses were recorded on a large scale rendering a large number of people homeless. A temporary shelter was also provided to victims along with basic amenities.
