Given the demographic composition of the country, policies must be devised keeping in view its needs and limited resources. Therefore, the resources available must be used judiciously. We have long been advocating for a Senior Citizen’s Home and a policy on the reduction of violence against women and children. Hope Centre has set up a “One Stop Centre” in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir for the reduction of violence against women and a Senior Citizens Home meant to provide shelter, food, and comfort to elderly people who can no longer live in their own homes.
