COVID-19 (Coronavirus) presented an unprecedented challenge for social care. The response has not been without significant challenges at all levels of the sector. In a year where we have mourned deaths caused by the virus, we have also seen remarkable efforts of individuals, teams, and organizations working together to try to provide the safest care of the highest quality possible. Given the lockdown and the problem that befell people, an urgent need for intervention at all levels was felt. Hope Center without much delay swung into action and provided relief in the two districts of UT of Jammu and Kashmir (Srinagar & Ganderbal). The increasing caseload put heavy pressure on the country’s health ecosystem and the shortfall in equipment needed to fight an infectious outbreak. In an urgent need to deal with the unprecedented health crisis that overburdened the health system of the state leaving people especially those at the frontline vulnerable. Hope Centre provided much-needed oxygen concentrators to enable doctors to save lives. Also, dry food kits were distributed among 3500 poor families hit by the loss of livelihood due to the lockdown. Similarly, prescriptive medicine was distributed among 1500 economically backward people.
