Sonamarg,Ganderbal July 3: A local NGO and Corporate HCL Foundation distributed dry ration among needy and marginal families in a remote village Shutkari at Sonamarg in Ganderbal district. The locals of the area have been facing acute shortage of essential commodities including fruits and vegetables, milk, bread over the past three months on account of COVID-19.
Although, the whole population of the area is suffering the COVID-19 ramifications, but the hardest hit have been the labour class and those who buy their essential commodities from kiryana shops which have been closed from the past three months.
Any succor in these circumstances would have been a huge help. A local NGO She Hope Society for Women Entrepreneurs (SHSFWE) with the support of Corporate HCL Foundation took an initiative by distributing ration among economically disadvantaged families of Shutkari village of District Ganderbal and brought much needed sigh of relief to these poor families.
